Most women fall into one of four categories:

  1. Pear Shaped
  2. Hourglass Shaped
  3. Apple Shaped
  4. Athletic Shaped


 Pear Shaped Body Type also known as a triangle shape

You may be Pear shape body type if:
  • Your waist is wider than your bust
  • You describe yourself as having fuller hips
  • You have narrower shoulders in comparison to your hips
  • You have a fuller rear

The pear-shaped body is all in the lower part of your body. Your butt and thighs are visually bigger than your upper body. Thanks to celebrities- this body is a rage right now. You’re lucky if you have a figure like this - either naturally or achieved this with workouts. 


Hourglass Shaped Body Type aka a curvy shape. 

You may be this body type if:

  • You consider your body as curvy
  • You have a well-defined waist
  • Your bust and hip measurements are roughly even
  • You may have fuller bust, hips and thights 

This body type is the most balanced of all with a proportionate top and bottom part of the body and a very well-defined waistline. You know when you’re an hourglass body shape - it is a body to die for, so cherish in the right way.


Apple Shaped Body Type also known as an inverted triangle. 


You may be this body type if:

  • You are well-proportioned
  • Your shoulders may be broader than your hips
  • You are not necessarily as curvy through your hips
  • You don’t have a well-defined waistline - If you do, you’re likely an hourglass

Apple shaped figure have a heavier upper body in comparison to your lower part of the body. Women with apple body type usually have broad shoulders, bigger bust line, and the weight gathers around the midriff.

How to Dress Apple Shape


Athletic Shaped Body Type aka a rectangle or straight shape.

You may be this body type if:

  • You’re not particularly curvy
  • Your shoulders and hip measurements are nearly the same
  • Your waist isn’t very small or well-defined, but rather straight up and down
  • Your weight is evenly distributed throughout your body

The inverted triangle is the most athletic looking body type, with your shoulders being much broader than your hips.
